Metabolic Typing

There is no single diet that works for everyone. The very same foods that will keep you slim, healthy, and energized can cause someone else to be overweight, unhealthy, and fatigued. Why does this happen? Because everyone’s metabolism is unique. Some people do better with a high carbohydrate diet, others see better results with more protein and fats. You need to find out what metabolic type is right for you.

Our Metabolic Typing Appraisal can be done at home from your own computer. This appraisal is done as part of our Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching Assessment.

Core Essentials uses the Healthexcel System of Metabolic Typing which has evolved over a 25 year period to its present state of evaluating 9 fundamental homeostatic control mechanisms in the body.

Metabolic Typing Appraisal looks at these unique factors:

Autonomic System Sympathetic, Balanced, Parasympathetic
Oxidative System Fast, Mixed, Slow
Catabolic/Anabolic Catabolic, Anabolic
Electrolyte/Fluid Electrolyte excess, Electrolyte deficiency
Acid/Alkaline Metabolic acidosis, respiratory acidosis, potassium excess acidosis, metabolic alkalosis, respiratory alkalosis, potassium depletion alkalosis
Prostaglandin PG1, PG2, PG3
Endocrine Type Pituitary, Thyroid, Adrenal, Gonad, Mixed
Blood Type A, B, AB, O
Constitutional Type Vata, Pitta, Kapha

These factors have a great influence on your Autonomic Nervous System. This system is the master regulator of you metabolism, controlling all of the involuntary activities of the body such as your heart rate, digestion, respiration, tissue repair and rebuilding, cellular activity, regulation of your body temperature, immune activity, and countless other functions.

We combine our Metabolic Typing Analysis results with other nutrition and lifestyle factors to develop a plan or approach that will work well for you. It will be tailored directly to your needs and will be progressed at a rate that allows you to be successful.

Everyone is unique, Everyone needs a different program. One that works well for you.

At Core Essentials we will guide you in different ways. We can provide email or phone support to go along with our packaged program. We will work with you to figure out the best way to keep you on track. We will go shopping with you, if needed, and provide you with lots of valuable information and resources to further your health education.
