How can we treat or help you prevent injuries?

Through our C.H.E.K. Program, Posturology, Manual Therapy as well as Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching we can help educate you on why you have an injury, how to treat it, and how to avoid it in the future.

We have a wealth of experience working with athletes who have various sport related or overuse injuries. Injuries and pain in these areas (disc, low back, hip, knee, foot, shoulder, elbow, wrist, neck) are all very common and can be treated and prevented by our skilled practitioners.

We also know that many injuries are postural related, workplace related and potentially just waiting to happen in many people. Our C.H.E.K. assessment and treatment program gets you started on improving your performance in a sport, improving your ability to move, and will help you avoid or recover from an injury.

We work with many athletes predominantly in the sports of golf, tennis, hockey, and figure skating, as well as many runners and skiers. What we find is that our treatments and corrective exercises work well for almost all sports that require strength, balance, flexibility, agility, good posture and propreoceptive activity.

The C.H.E.K. Program follows these phases in progression (Flexibility-Stability-Strength-Power). Each athlete or individual follows this model and is progressed through more challenging exercises with strict postural programming. This method allows for optimal physiological performance, postural balance and alignment, and function.

We will educate you on nutritional factors that may have an effect on your recovery and future performance. We also educate you on sleep and its role in tissue recovery and energy.

It is important to return our clients to their sport or activity as soon as possible but with less chance of the injury happening again.
